Booked this hotel through a third party - Algotels - which was a terrible experience. We originally booked the hotel for 3 nights, but apparently between the hotel and Algotels, they double booked us and did not have capacity for us to stay after 1 night.
I understand there is an inherent risk when booking hotels through a third party, but I did not appreciate the lack of assistance the hotel provided me and my family when asked to find an alternate hotel by our checkout time at noon. Nobody at the front desk or concierge was eager to help, only to continue to remind us that we needed to vacate the room by 12pm.
Based on this service alone, there is no way I would give this resort a 5 star rating.
Fortunately, the Westin had an opening and we were able to finish our vacation there.
I would not return to this facility for this reason alone. High quality service is an expectation at 5 star resorts - El Presidente did not come through. - via
